1. Reasons for rejection:

     - Application by mail.

     - The seal or signature of the authorized officer of the Ministry is not authentic.

     - The seal or signature of the authorized officer of the Ministry does not conform to the specimen.

     - The following documents: Chinese passport, Chinese identity card, Chinese driving license.

     - The content of the document violates Chinese laws or national interests of China.

     - The document is suspected of being falsified.

     - The document is expired (the validity period of the following documents is 6 months: certificate of celibacy, marriage certificate, property deed, criminal record, medical certificate and the document justifying the resources.)

     - The mandatary is reluctant to open the envelope containing documents or is unable to answer the questions asked or to provide the requested papers.

     - Fees are not paid at the time of filing.

     - Other inappropriate cases judged by the Consulate.

     2. The legalized document may not be modified or altered. Otherwise, the legal consequences are the responsibility of the applicant.
